About

My name is Lucas Solomon, but my friends know me better as Luke. I live in Midtown Manhattan, provide financial consultation to small businesses and investors, and I try to catch a few Yankee’s games every year. When I’m not working, I like to spend the holidays in Greece with my wife and two kids.

I attended NYU Stern in the mid-90s and got my BS in Finance. After working in the field for a couple of years to get some experience, I went back to get my MBA. This opened my mind to new opportunities and helped me build connections that have lasted a lifetime.

I started my first small business out of my 1-room loft in 2006, and haven’t turned back since.

My Story

I’m a so-called “80’s baby” by every account. I was born in Brooklyn in 1977, so if you’ve ever seen those old mafia movies, it’s not a far shot off from how I grew up. Although my family was about as straight-edge as they come, both my parents and a few of my aunt and uncles owned small businesses and services in town.

Being a tight-knit Israeli family from Brooklyn, all we talked about at the family dinner table was business, finance, and (of course) gossip about the “regulars.” I have a lot of good memories from those conversations.

Possibly the best thing that came out of all of those late-night talks, though, was that I was exposed to financial wisdom that gave me the foundation I needed to pass my finance classes with flying colors and start my own successful business as a financial advisor!

Why I Started This Blog

I’ve always been thankful for those little nuggets of gold that I learned from those family talks. If it wasn’t for my family taking time out of their day to answer my questions and explain financial literacy to me, I definitely wouldn’t be the person that I am today.

I started this blog because I wanted to give back to people. I saw a lot of people lose their businesses, jobs, and livelihoods after the pandemic- especially in New York. I also knew that many of those same people wouldn’t have suffered as much if they simply knew more

So, I decided to start a personal blog about finance. From everyday banking to reviewing the latest apps and informing my readers how to save more money, this is my way of giving back.

About the website

FX4Biz is a site where you can stay up-to-date on the latest financial trends and apps, learn how to bank smarter, and learn how to invest your money wisely.

From how to use money apps like Cash App and Venmo to manage contact-less lending to participating in revolutionary new e-banks, I do my best to comment and review on a wide range of financial literacy topics, apps, and products that apply to our rapidly-changing world.

My Mission

I’ve been a successful investor and New York financial advisor for 15 years now. I’ve seen markets rise and crash and I’m still around to tell the story. I’ve helped millionaires and start-up entrepreneurs alike manage their money, invest wisely, and find the funding they needed to become successful.

One thing that I’ve always wanted to do, though, is to give back to the everyday guy who can’t afford to pay a full-time financial advisor. My mission with FX4Biz is to share free knowledge and show you some of the best products that I actually use.

What’s In It For You

Unlike other 20-year-old “advisors” finessing their way on the internet by writing fake reviews and feeding you crap products that don’t work, I’m here to actually help you. If you ever see an affiliate link on this site, it’s for a product that I’ve either used personally or recommended to an existing client who used it with good results.

If you’re ready to up your financial game and manage your money better than ever before, I’m here to help.

Thanks for reading, and good luck on your financial journey!
